Saturday saw the last major event of our traditional events  for the winter – The 6 stage /4 Stage Relays had been happy hunting grounds for the club in recent years to pick up national medals but this was not the case this year. The men’s team made a massive improvement  from last year moving from 23rd to 5th but still along way off the glory days when we could almost be guaranteed a medal. The ladies only had one runner out. With no master teams it was in a sense a disappointing end to the season

As indicated the men’s team made a great effort to  be among the medals with a good all round performance over the short /long legs – With a few of the top men missing it shows the promise of the current squad -Taha and Daniel  were both in the top 10 fastest long legs with Luke Howard showing some of the promise of the past.

Many thanks to Elaine Mackay for looking after the teams – Gary Woods and John Mackay continued their commitment to making sure the club has the highest ranked officials we can have – Gary has recently been upgraded to level 3 endurance ( Congratulations) and John is just waiting to hear back if he has been successful in his application  to be upgrade to Level 3 as well.

A bit of history with all our results from this championships attached –
